THE CLUB

Bam Bam Padel is a five-court club in Mas, just south of central Ubud, combining a busy padel setup with a strong range of off-court facilities.

Walk in from street level and the courts sit below you, immediately giving the club an elevated viewing area overlooking the action. Down at court level it feels more like a traditional padel centre, with the courts positioned fairly close together and plenty happening when the club is busy.

What makes Bam Bam particularly useful is the amount of play available. There's a good mix of locals, expats and visitors, with open matches and organised activities making it relatively easy to find a game even if you're visiting Ubud without your own group.

COURTS & PLAY

Bam Bam has five roofed panoramic courts with high roofs and good playing conditions. The courts were in good condition when BPS played here in January 2026.

The layout is fairly compact, with courts positioned alongside each other in a more traditional padel-centre setup. It can get hot at playing level, but the roofed courts mean you're protected from Bali's sun and rain.

One of Bam Bam's biggest strengths is simply finding people to play. Playtomic regularly has games across different levels, and BPS found plenty of options available. That makes it a particularly good option for solo travellers or anyone wanting to meet other players while staying around Ubud.

COACHING

Bam Bam offers coaching across different levels, from introductory sessions through to group training and private lessons.

Initiation classes start from around IDR 200K, with group training and private coaching also available. Check the current schedule or contact the club directly for the latest coaching options and prices.

FOOD & DRINK

The Winning Serve canteen sits alongside the club and offers food, specialty coffee, fresh drinks, gelato and beer.

BPS didn't eat here, but did put the elevated viewing area to good use with a couple of craft beers while watching a game. It's one of the better spectator setups at a Bali padel club — you can sit above the courts with a drink and get a clear view of the action below.

WHAT'S HAPPENING

There's plenty happening at Bam Bam beyond regular court bookings. Open matches run through Playtomic alongside tournaments, leagues, coaching and social formats.

Weekly Americanos are organised across Bronze, Silver and Gold levels, giving players an easy way to join organised play at an appropriate standard.

BPS played an open game during the January visit rather than one of the organised events, but the amount of activity around the club was obvious. It's a busy venue with a good mix of social and competitive players.

THE VERDICT

Bam Bam is one of Ubud's strongest options if you want to find a game, meet other players and have proper recovery facilities waiting when you finish.

BPS played here in January 2026 and found a busy club with a genuine mix of locals, expats and travellers. There were plenty of games available through Playtomic, the staff were lovely and the atmosphere worked equally well for social and more competitive players.

The courts themselves are good rather than spectacular. They're relatively close together and it was hot down at playing level during the BPS visit. What lifts the overall experience is everything around them — particularly the sauna, steam room, ice bath and wider recovery setup.

The elevated spectator area is another nice touch. Being able to grab a craft beer and watch the courts from above makes Bam Bam an easy place to hang around even when you're not the one playing.

If you're staying around Ubud and looking for a game, Bam Bam is a very easy club to put on the list.

BPS TIP Don't leave as soon as your game finishes. Make time for the recovery facilities — they're one of the biggest reasons to choose Bam Bam over a basic court-only venue.

A great place to spend a few hours around a game at Bam Bam. BPS used it as a day club and ended up eating dinner here three nights out of four.
