PLAYING & BOOKING
Getting on court in Bali.
How do I book a padel court in Bali? +
Booking methods vary by club. Many Bali clubs use Playtomic, while others use their own booking platform, app or WhatsApp. Every BPS club profile shows the booking method we have for that club and links you directly to it where available.
Can I play if I'm travelling alone? +
Absolutely. You don't necessarily need to arrive with three other players. Many clubs organise open matches, social games, Americanos and other activities where individual players can join. Check the relevant BPS club profile for the options available.
Do I need to bring my own racket? +
Usually not. Racket hire is available at many clubs, although the price and range varies. BPS club profiles include racket-hire information where it has been confirmed.
How much does it cost to play padel in Bali? +
Prices vary significantly between clubs, court types and times of day. Rather than using one Bali-wide estimate, BPS lists current court pricing on individual club profiles wherever we have been able to confirm it.
Can beginners play padel in Bali? +
Yes. Bali has plenty of options for new players, including private coaching, group sessions, beginner games and social activities. You don't need previous padel experience to get started.
Can I book a coach or lesson? +
Many clubs offer private and group coaching. Where available, BPS club profiles include coaching information and starting prices, along with the best way to contact or book with the club.
How do I know what playing level to choose? +
Playing levels can vary between clubs and booking platforms. If you're unsure, contact the club before joining a competitive game. It's usually better to describe your playing experience than guess a level that may use a different rating system.
CLUBS & FACILITIES
Choosing the right place to play.
How can I find all the padel clubs in Bali? +
The BPS Club Directory brings together 121 listed clubs across Bali and the surrounding islands. You can browse the full directory, search by destination or use the BPS map to see clubs geographically.
What facilities do Bali padel clubs have? +
It varies enormously. Some venues focus almost entirely on the courts, while others include restaurants, cafés, pools, gyms, recovery facilities, pro shops, showers and social spaces. Individual BPS profiles show the facilities available at each club.
Are padel courts in Bali indoor or outdoor? +
Bali has outdoor, covered and semi-indoor courts. Court protection can make a significant difference in tropical weather, so BPS club profiles identify the court setup wherever possible.
What happens if it rains? +
This depends on the venue and court design. Covered courts can provide considerably more protection, while outdoor play may be affected by rain. Check the club's cancellation or weather policy when booking, particularly during Bali's wetter months.
Where can I find tournaments and social events? +
BPS What's On is designed to bring together tournaments, Americanos, social games and other padel events happening around Bali.
TRAVEL & AREAS
Deciding where to stay — and where to play.
Where should I stay in Bali if I want to play padel? +
It depends on the Bali experience you're looking for. BPS Destination Guides are designed to help you compare areas based on both their padel scene and what they're like to actually stay in — including the atmosphere, restaurants, bars, accommodation and things to do away from the court.
What's the difference between Clubs, Areas and the Map? +
Clubs is the complete directory for deciding where to play. Areas helps you decide where to stay and play through BPS Destination Guides. The Map is the quickest way to see club locations geographically.
Does BPS only cover the island of Bali? +
No. Bali is at the heart of BPS, but we're also building coverage of nearby island destinations including Lombok, the Gili Islands and the Nusa Islands as the padel scene continues to grow.
Can I play padel in Lombok, the Gili Islands or Nusa Lembongan? +
Padel is expanding beyond Bali. BPS is mapping and documenting clubs across nearby islands so travellers can see where they can play as part of a wider Bali and island trip. Check the Club Directory and Destination Guides for the latest coverage.
ABOUT BPS
How Bali Padel Scene works.
What is Bali Padel Scene? +
Bali Padel Scene is an independent guide to padel across Bali and the surrounding islands. BPS combines a comprehensive club directory and map with first-hand club visits, photography, reviews, events and destination guides.
What does BPS Played mean? +
BPS Played identifies clubs that Bali Padel Scene has personally visited and played at. It helps distinguish first-hand BPS experience from directory information gathered and verified through other sources.
How does BPS verify club information? +
BPS researches clubs and contacts venues to confirm practical details such as court numbers, facilities, pricing and booking options. Clubs marked BPS PLAYED have also been visited and played by BPS, with first-hand observations shared separately from verified facts.
I'm a club. How can I update my information? +
Clubs are encouraged to contact BPS whenever details change, including pricing, court numbers, facilities, coaching, booking methods or opening information. Keeping the directory current is a core part of the BPS approach.
Can hotels, restaurants and other businesses work with BPS? +
Yes. As the BPS Destination Guides expand, we're interested in working with relevant accommodation, restaurants, cafés, bars, wellness businesses and travel operators that genuinely add value for padel travellers. Commercial partnerships will be clearly identified and kept separate from independent BPS editorial opinions.
