ISLAND SPORTS ULUWATU
A long-standing Uluwatu favourite with high-roof courts, an outstanding community and a major new upgrade that puts its facilities alongside the area’s newest clubs.

Island Sports Club Uluwatu earned its place as a BPS favourite long before the recent boom in padel venues across Ungasan. Its location near Uluwatu, high-roof courts, friendly staff, strong coaching and lively weekend tournaments made it an easy choice whenever BPS was in the area.
On the September 2026 visit, the changes were immediately noticeable. A new swimming pool, dedicated singles court, indoor golf simulator and expanded kitchen and social spaces have given the club a substantial lift. Island Sports still has the familiar community feel that made it special, but now its courts and facilities stand comfortably alongside the newer clubs in the area.

BPS played on Court 4 in September 2026. The four covered outdoor panoramic doubles courts have the generous roof height that has always made Island Sports such an enjoyable place to play. Air moves through the open sides, the lighting is good and the courts were in great condition on this visit.
There is plenty of room to enjoy a proper match without feeling boxed in, while the addition of a dedicated singles court gives players another way to get on court. The playing experience remains one of the club’s strongest assets.

The new swimming pool is the standout addition, complemented by an indoor golf simulator and more space to relax between matches. Together with the expanded restaurant and social areas, these upgrades make the club feel more complete than ever.
Practical essentials are covered too, including showers, changing rooms, lockers, a pro shop, filtered water, Wi-Fi and parking. The result is a welcoming, well-equipped venue that works just as well for a tournament day as it does for a casual game.

Island Sports now has a full kitchen and a much broader food and drinks offering. Whether it is a quick snack between games, a drink after a match or a proper meal, the upgraded kitchen adds a welcome new dimension to the club.
Alongside the pool, snooker table and relaxed communal spaces, the restaurant fits naturally into the social atmosphere Island Sports has built over the years.

Across multiple visits, BPS has met friendly locals, expats and travellers here — including people who have stayed in touch long after the match finished. The staff are welcoming, the coaching team is strong, and it is easy to feel part of the club rather than just another court booking.
Island League events and the bigger tournament weekends are a particular highlight. The club hosts padel across a remarkable range of standards, from beginner and intermediate competition through to professional and international-level play. When a major tournament is on, the atmosphere is fantastic.
The Uluwatu favourite that has raised its game.
Island Sports has always stood out for its breezy, high-roof courts, friendly staff, unbeatable Uluwatu location and the people you meet along the way. The latest upgrades — especially the pool, singles court, golf simulator and expanded kitchen — mean it now competes confidently with the newer clubs for both playing quality and facilities, without losing the community atmosphere that made it a BPS favourite.
