THE CLUB
Island Sports Club Cemagi combines padel, fitness and community in a setting that feels noticeably removed from the busier parts of Canggu.
The club centres around three padel courts — two covered and one outdoor — with a gym and fitness program, pro shop, café and plenty of open space around the courts.
BPS played here in April 2025 and what stood out most was the setting. Cemagi isn't far from Canggu, but the greenery, space and quieter surroundings make the club feel more like a relaxed retreat than a busy inner-Canggu padel centre.
COURTS & PLAY
Island Sports Cemagi has three courts, with two covered courts and one outdoor court surrounded by the club's leafy setting.
BPS found plenty of space around the playing areas and good ventilation, which suits the more open layout of the club and adds to the relaxed playing environment.
BPS has experienced the club in two different ways — joining an open match and returning for an Americano tournament. That gives Cemagi a genuine social-play element alongside regular private court bookings.
Court hire is IDR 400K per court for 60 minutes, with bookings made through the Island Sports app.
COACHING
Coaching is available for both individual players and groups.
A private lesson starts from IDR 1M, while a four-person lesson is available from IDR 325K per person.
BPS didn't personally take a coaching session during the April 2025 visit, so the coaching program isn't rated separately as part of the first-hand assessment.
FOOD & DRINK
A café sits in the middle of the club and forms part of the social space between the padel courts and fitness areas.
During the BPS Americano tournament visit, a fresh coconut was included for players and was a welcome post-match addition in the Bali heat.
BPS hasn't personally sampled enough of the wider menu to give the food offering a full review yet, so this section will be updated following a future visit.
WHAT'S HAPPENING
Island Sports Cemagi has an active playing community with open matches, tournaments, coaching and other activities running through the club.
BPS joined both an open match and an Americano tournament, and the organised play is a good option for anyone visiting Bali without a regular group of four.
The community extends beyond padel. During the BPS visits there were people working out inside, players moving through the courts and kids running around the outside areas, giving the whole venue a relaxed, family-friendly club atmosphere.
FACILITIES
BPS PHOTOS
Island Sports Cemagi is less about flashy facilities and more about space, greenery and a genuine community atmosphere.
The three-court setup is straightforward, with two covered courts and one outdoor court, but the surroundings make the playing experience feel different from many of the busier clubs around Canggu.
What BPS enjoyed most was the atmosphere. Cemagi feels quiet and almost remote despite being relatively close to Canggu, with plenty of greenery and space around the club.
There was also a real community feel during the visits — kids running around the outdoor areas, people training inside and plenty of activity on the courts. BPS joined both an open match and an Americano tournament, and the social side of the club felt natural rather than manufactured.
The facilities are solid rather than luxurious, but that's not really the reason to come here. Island Sports Cemagi works because it feels relaxed, social and connected to its surroundings.
GOOD TO KNOW
Court bookings are made through the Island Sports app. Download it before you want to play rather than expecting to book through Playtomic.
There are three courts — two covered and one outdoor — with plenty of space and ventilation around the playing areas.
You don't need to arrive with four players. BPS joined an open match here, with organised games available through Island Sports.
BPS also played an Americano tournament at Cemagi, adding another option for players looking for organised social competition.
