MONSTER PADEL:
WHERE PADEL BECOMES A DAY OUT.

A visit to Monster Padel in Pecatu reveals how Bali's padel clubs are becoming places to connect, unwind and spend an afternoon — not just play a match.

THE FIRSTHAND STORY

Bali's padel scene is growing quickly, and with it, the idea of what a padel club can be.

What was once simply somewhere to book a court and play a game is increasingly becoming something more. Clubs are creating spaces where people can train, socialise, relax and spend time together, whether they're picking up a racket or not.

Monster Padel in Pecatu is a great example of that shift. When Bali Padel Scene visited in September 2026, we arrived expecting to explore another impressive padel venue. What we found was somewhere that felt just as much like a social destination as a sporting club.

01 / MORE THAN A COURT BOOKING

MORE THAN A COURT BOOKING.

One of the first things that struck us about Monster was the scale of the place.

It's a large venue, but it doesn't feel like everything has been squeezed into the available space. Instead, the courts sit across different levels, surrounded by tropical landscaping, with plenty happening beyond the playing areas.

As we explored, Court 7 immediately caught our attention. Tucked away among the greenery, it had a completely different feel from the more traditional rows of courts we've encountered elsewhere.

It's these little details that give a club personality.

02 / THE AFTERNOON ATMOSPHERE

A DIFFERENT KIND OF AFTERNOON.

But perhaps the most interesting observation came away from the courts altogether.

We visited at around 2pm, when roughly half the courts were occupied. Meanwhile, the swimming pool was busy with people enjoying the afternoon.

Some were swimming, others were relaxing, and the whole area had the atmosphere of somewhere people had come to spend time rather than simply fit in a game.

It was a good reminder that the appeal of padel in Bali extends well beyond the sport itself.

03 / THE PEOPLE

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE EXPERIENCE.

Something we particularly enjoyed about Monster had nothing to do with the size of the venue or the facilities. It was the staff.

Throughout our visit, the team was genuinely welcoming, generous with their time and happy to answer our many questions. They showed us around, explained different parts of the club and shared recommendations.

For BPS, these interactions are an important part of visiting a club. You can learn plenty from a website, booking platform or social media account. But spending time at a venue and speaking with the people who work there gives you a much better understanding of what the club is actually like.

And at Monster, those conversations made an impression. Despite the scale of the venue, the experience felt personal and relaxed.

After visiting plenty of clubs across Bali, we’ve learned that the places you remember aren’t always the ones with the most courts or the longest list of facilities. They’re the ones that leave you with a feeling.

At Monster, it was the tropical courts, the lively poolside atmosphere and, most importantly, the people who made us feel welcome. Come for the padel. Stay for the day.
