THE CLUB
Amare Padel Umalas is a busy five-court club with plenty happening throughout the day. Open matches, coaching sessions and regular court bookings create a lively atmosphere, with a good mix of players moving through the centre.
The club also has a restaurant overlooking the courts and an extensive range of facilities including a pool, gym, sauna, ice bath, steam room and recovery areas.
For players visiting Bali without their own group, one of Amare's biggest strengths is the amount of activity. BPS found plenty of open matches available through Playtomic across different levels.
COURTS & PLAY
Amare has five roofed panoramic courts arranged side-by-side in a single row. There is a good viewing platform above the playing area, making it easy for spectators to watch multiple courts at once.
The layout does make the playing area feel relatively compact compared with some of Bali's more spacious clubs. BPS also found the court area particularly hot during the January 2026 visit, with limited ventilation and airflow between the courts.
Where Amare performs much better is game availability. There were lots of matches happening alongside coaching sessions, and BPS found plenty of open-game options through Playtomic.
COACHING
Amare has a strong coaching presence, with individual and small-group sessions available for players looking to work on their game.
A 60-minute session starts from IDR 1M for one player, with the total session price increasing gradually as more players join: IDR 1.1M for two players, IDR 1.2M for three and IDR 1.3M for four players.
That makes the group option significantly more affordable per person, particularly if you're travelling or playing with friends.
FOOD & DRINK
Amare has a restaurant at the front of the centre with indoor seating overlooking the courts, so you can eat while still watching the action.
BPS had a meal here during the January visit and it was excellent. Sitting inside while watching a game was also a welcome escape from the heat around the courts.
One small downside: a bottle of water felt noticeably overpriced.
WHAT'S HAPPENING
Amare is an active club. During the BPS visit there were open matches, private bookings and coaching sessions all happening at the same time.
Open matches are available through Playtomic and BPS found plenty of options, making Amare particularly useful if you're staying around Umalas, Seminyak or Canggu and want to find a game without organising four players yourself.
FACILITIES
BPS PHOTOS
Amare is a busy Umalas club where finding a game is easy, but the playing environment didn't work particularly well for BPS.
There was plenty happening when BPS played here in January 2026. Open matches, coaching sessions and regular bookings were all running, and there were lots of options available through Playtomic. If your priority is simply finding people to play with, that's a real strength.
The downside was the court setup. All five courts are lined up alongside each other, which made the playing area feel cramped, and BPS found it particularly hot with poor ventilation. That had a significant impact on the overall playing experience.
Off court, there's considerably more on offer. The viewing platform is useful for spectators, the restaurant meal was excellent and the club has an extensive range of wellness and recovery facilities.
For BPS, though, the quality of the actual playing environment comes first. Despite the amount of activity and strong facilities, the heat and lack of airflow mean there are other Bali clubs BPS would choose ahead of Amare for a game.
GOOD TO KNOW
BPS found plenty of open matches available through Playtomic. It's one of Amare's strongest features if you're visiting without your own group.
VIEW WHAT'S ON →The courts are roofed, but BPS found the playing area very hot with limited ventilation. Consider an earlier or later booking if you're sensitive to the heat.
Sessions start at IDR 1M for one player, increasing to 1.1M for two, 1.2M for three and 1.3M for four.
Amare has considerably more than just courts, with a pool, gym, sauna, ice bath, steam room and recovery facilities available on site.
The elevated viewing area gives spectators a good vantage point across the courts and makes it easy to watch while someone else is playing.
The restaurant at the front of the centre has indoor seating overlooking the courts. BPS had a great meal here — although the bottled water felt expensive.
