NUSA DUA
Resort beaches, polished hotels and an easy holiday setup on Bali's south-east coast. Nusa Dua is made for travellers who want comfort, coastline and padel to fit neatly into the rest of their Bali stay.
Growing options in and around Bali's southern resort precinct.
Play your game without giving up the full Bali resort experience.
Well organised locally, with transport useful when heading further afield.
Resorts, beaches, landscaped surrounds and a noticeably calmer pace.
WHY
NUSA DUA?
Nusa Dua works when the holiday comes first — but you still want padel to be part of it.
This is one of Bali's most established resort destinations, with large hotels, maintained beaches and a very different atmosphere from Canggu, Seminyak or Uluwatu.
For couples, families and groups where not everyone is planning their trip around padel, that's a genuine advantage. You can get on court while everyone else gets on with their holiday.
WHERE TO
BASE YOURSELF.
“Nusa Dua” is often used loosely for the wider south-east resort coast. The experience changes depending on whether you're inside the main resort precinct, further north or heading south towards Sawangan.
NUSA
DUA
The heart of the resort precinct. Large hotels, landscaped grounds, beaches and an easy holiday setup make this the obvious option for a classic Nusa Dua stay.
TANJUNG
BENOA
North of the main Nusa Dua precinct, Tanjung Benoa has its own collection of resorts and restaurants and is particularly known for watersports.
SAWANGAN
South of central Nusa Dua, with large resorts and dramatic coastal settings. Better suited to travellers who are happy spending more time within their hotel or resort.
GEGER
Around Geger Beach you'll find a quieter coastal feel while remaining close to the main Nusa Dua resort zone and its restaurants and facilities.
PLAYING
NUSA DUA.
Nusa Dua isn't Bali's biggest padel hub — but it doesn't need to be for the area to work.
The appeal is being able to combine a resort holiday with access to courts in southern Bali. Depending on your exact location, Nusa Dua, Jimbaran and parts of the Bukit can all come into play.
For travellers who want one or two good games during their trip rather than building the entire holiday around padel, that can be more than enough.

STAY.
EAT. DRINK. DO.
Nusa Dua is built around making the holiday easy. The challenge isn't finding somewhere comfortable — it's deciding how much you actually want to leave the resort.
STAY
This is resort territory. International hotel brands, beachfront properties and large pools dominate, with some excellent options for couples and families.
EAT
Resorts provide plenty of dining options, while venturing beyond the hotel opens up local restaurants and more variety around the wider Nusa Dua area.
DRINK
Resort bars, beachfront drinks and relaxed evenings are the default. This isn't where you stay for Bali's biggest nightlife scene.
DO
Beaches, watersports, pools, spas and easy day trips mean there's plenty to do for the people in your group who have absolutely no interest in picking up a padel racket.
GOOD
TO KNOW.
Hotels marketed as Nusa Dua can be spread along a sizeable stretch of coast. Check the exact location against the clubs and places you want to visit.
If you're staying at a large resort, much of your trip may happen within the property. That's either Nusa Dua's biggest advantage or its biggest drawback, depending on what you want from Bali.
Depending on where you're staying, clubs around Jimbaran and elsewhere in southern Bali may also be realistic options. Use travel time rather than suburb names to choose your court.
WHO IS
NUSA DUA FOR?
Nusa Dua makes sense when you're travelling with people who don't care about padel quite as much as you do.
Couples, families and groups can have a full resort holiday while the players still find time to get on court. Nobody has to compromise the entire trip around where the best padel club happens to be.
If you want padel, cafés, nightlife and social games constantly around you, look elsewhere. If you want a polished beach holiday where padel slots comfortably into the itinerary, Nusa Dua is a very different proposition.
