SEMINYAK
Beach clubs, restaurants, bars, shopping and some of Bali's most established places to stay. Seminyak puts you close to plenty of padel while keeping the rest of your Bali holiday firmly on the agenda.
Plenty of playing options in Seminyak and the surrounding areas.
A strong choice if you want good access to courts without building the entire holiday around padel.
Seminyak, Petitenget, Umalas and Kerobokan are close — although Bali traffic can make travel times unpredictable.
Restaurants, beach clubs, bars, boutiques and villas with plenty happening from morning until late.
WHY
SEMINYAK?
Seminyak works when padel matters — but the holiday around it matters just as much.
Restaurants, bars, beach clubs, hotels, villas and shopping are all part of the appeal, with padel spread through Seminyak, Umalas, Kerobokan and the surrounding pockets.
BPS uses Seminyak as the wider Area guide, with Umalas, Petitenget and Kerobokan covered as distinct pockets within the area.
It works particularly well for mixed groups too. Players can head to the court without forcing everyone else to build the day around padel.
Compared with Canggu, Seminyak feels more established and polished. Compared with Uluwatu, the day feels more concentrated. That's the BPS appeal here: padel fits naturally into the holiday rather than needing to become the holiday.
WHERE TO
BASE YOURSELF.
Seminyak is the name most travellers know, but exactly where you stay matters. Petitenget, Umalas and Kerobokan all offer different versions of the same broader area.
SEMINYAK
The classic choice. Central, established and packed with restaurants, bars, boutiques, villas and hotels. A good base if you want everything within relatively easy reach.
PETITENGET
At the northern end of Seminyak, Petitenget puts you close to some of the area's best-known restaurants, bars and beach clubs while edging you closer towards Canggu.
UMALAS
Set back from the coast between Seminyak and Canggu, Umalas offers a quieter villa-based stay while keeping both major areas and their padel clubs within reach.
KEROBOKAN
More spread out and less beach-focused, Kerobokan can put you surprisingly close to several padel options while offering a different feel from central Seminyak.
PLAYING
SEMINYAK.
One of Seminyak's biggest padel advantages is that you don't need to limit yourself to clubs with “Seminyak” in the address.
Staying here puts clubs around Seminyak, Umalas, Kerobokan and parts of the wider south-west coast into consideration.
That gives you flexibility. You can choose a club based on the game, facilities, coaching or atmosphere you're looking for rather than simply booking whatever happens to be closest.
Just remember that distance on a map and travel time in Bali aren't always the same thing. BPS recommends comparing actual travel times when deciding where to play.

PRO PADEL BALI
— SEMINYAK.
BPS verified Pro Padel Bali – Seminyak in January 2026.
Pro Padel Bali – Seminyak is one of the clubs already verified by BPS. More venues across Seminyak, including Umalas and the surrounding pockets, will be added as BPS works through the area first-hand.
STAY.
EAT. DRINK. DO.
This is where Seminyak earns its place as more than a padel base. There's enough happening away from the court to build an entire Bali stay around the area.
STAY
Villas, boutique hotels and larger resorts give Seminyak one of Bali's broadest accommodation mixes. Where you stay can dramatically change how easy it is to reach both the beach and your preferred club.
EAT
One of Seminyak's biggest strengths. From casual cafés to destination restaurants, you could stay in the area for days without running short of places worth trying.
DRINK
Sunset drinks, beach clubs, cocktail bars and late nights are all easy to find. Seminyak works particularly well if the social side of the trip matters as much as the morning game.
DO
Beach time, shopping, spas, cafés and easy access to surrounding areas mean non-players have plenty to do while you're on court.
GOOD
TO KNOW.
Where you stay within Seminyak, Petitenget, Umalas or Kerobokan can significantly change your travel times. Check your actual accommodation location before choosing a club.
A nearby club can still take longer to reach than expected, particularly at busy times. Build some flexibility around games and dinner reservations.
Some of the best options for someone staying in Seminyak may technically sit in Umalas, Kerobokan or another neighbouring area. Use the BPS map to see what's realistically close.
WHO IS
SEMINYAK FOR?
Seminyak gets the balance right for travellers who want plenty of padel nearby without making padel the only reason they're in Bali.
It's particularly strong for couples and groups with a mix of players and non-players. A morning game can sit alongside breakfast, shopping, the beach, a long lunch or sunset drinks without the whole day revolving around the court.
For a trip built entirely around the playing community, Canggu may make more sense. For a polished Bali stay where good padel is always within reach, Seminyak is an easy BPS pick.
